A challenging run/hike today up Ben Donich. This was a painful experience with the lack of fitness especially hiking. But it was a great adventure, loved some of the scrambling and sledging on the snow. A great start for training for the #whwchallengerace in May.
From the visitor centre where there is parking at the toilets or over the bridge on the right.
Terrain: Forestry tracks at low level. Grassy slopes but some rocky outcrops on the steep ascent
Distance: 10 km, duration 6 hrs, total ascent 853m to max. ht. 787m.
