A’Chir Mountain Ridge Walk, Isle of Arran

The walk into Glen Rosa on a wet day brought no views of A’Chir as we walked up Glen Rosa to make an ascent from the cairn into Fionn Choire where we had some glimpses of the craggy ridge.

This was where the fun began but it was wet and misty so no views, which was probably good as we worked Le Mauvais Pas and Pagoda Ridge. The Arran Mountaineering Festival Instructors were great, helping us with climbing ropes on the awkward climbs down.

Now we were on the last section to the summit stone of A’Chir (745m).
The final stages of the walk are via the col, then onto Beinn a’Chliabhain (653m), along the Garbh Allt burn and back into Glen Rosa.
