Spectacular views to the NW of the The Cobbler, Beinn Narnain and the other Arrocher Alps.
Terrain: An undulating, rocky, wet track. After 4km, and level with the lowest in a line of pylons, a stake marks the short, steep, rough, boggy descent to a bridge and under the West Highland Railway line. From there to the Village Inn follow red-ringed stakes marking the path through a Church of Scotland Nature Reserve.
Distance: 9 km, duration 4 hrs(walking), total ascent 505 m to max. ht. 264 m.
Start point: Roadside car parking on the Glen Douglas road, 1.25 km from the junction of A814 (NS 264 996). NB If you want a meal you must book it well in advance.
